Drug Trafficking
My client was the only defendant in a 15-person indictment charging a conspiracy to traffic thousands of kilograms of methamphetamine through the eastern district of Kentucky. Notwithstanding the testimony from a cooperating witness and co-defendant, a mistrial was declared following a week-long jury trial. After polling the jury, it was determined that 8 of the 12 jurors would have found the defendant not guilty.
Case Dismissed
Possession of a Firearm
After being indicted on a charge of convicted felon in possession of a firearm and facing an armed career offender enhancement and over 20 years in federal prison, the indictment was dismissed following a ruling from the Court in favor of our motion to suppress evidence as a result of an unconstitutional stop and subsequent search of my client’s vehicle.
